What is a turn-key simulator?
Our turn-key service is designed to take care of the entire process—from helping you choose the right components through to assembly, configuration and optimisation. For customers within the Gold Coast area, this includes delivery and onsite installation, giving you a complete simulator that’s set up and ready to go.
I’m completely new to sim racing. Can you help me choose the right setup?
Absolutely. You don’t need to know which wheelbase, pedals, cockpit or PC you need before contacting us. Tell us what you want to use the simulator for, your available space and budget, and we’ll help you work through the options.
Can I customise one of your featured turn-key rigs?
Yes. Our featured rigs are starting points rather than fixed configurations. Components can be changed to better suit your budget, driving style, preferred brands, available space or future upgrade plans.
Can you build something completely different from the rigs shown on your website?
Yes. If one of our featured packages isn’t right for you, we can develop a completely custom simulator around your requirements.
Can you supply the gaming PC as part of the simulator?
Yes. A properly matched gaming PC can be custom built as part of your complete build, with hardware selected according to the simulator, displays, resolution, software and performance you want to achieve.
Do you set up the software as well as the hardware?
Yes. A complete build goes beyond assembling the physical simulator. We configure and optimise the relevant hardware and software so that the system is correctly set up and ready for use.
Can you build simulators for things other than racing?
Yes. Although sim racing is our speciality, simulator requirements can vary considerably. Builds can be configured around different driving applications, including circuit racing, rally, drifting and trucking. We also build advanced flight simulators for realistic aviation applications.
Do you deliver the simulator assembled?
Your simulator is professionally assembled and configured before delivery, reducing the amount of setup required when it arrives. For customers within the Gold Coast area, our turn-key service includes delivery, onsite installation and final setup so your simulator is ready to use. If you’re outside our standard service area, contact us and we can discuss what may be possible for your build.
What warranty do I get with my simulator?
Because the simulator contains components from several manufacturers, individual products are generally covered by their applicable manufacturer warranties. Hectic Sim Rigs can also assist you with identifying and resolving hardware issues after your build.
What happens if I need help after I receive my simulator?
Our involvement doesn’t have to end at delivery. We provide after-sales support to help with questions, configuration and getting the most from your setup.
How much does a complete simulator cost?
There isn’t one answer because simulator requirements vary significantly. Your final cost depends on factors such as cockpit, wheelbase, pedals, displays, PC hardware and optional upgrades. Our featured packages provide useful starting points, or we can build around a budget you already have in mind.
Can you work to a specific budget?
Yes. Budget is one of the first things we consider. We’ll help prioritise the components that have the greatest impact on your experience and identify where you can save without compromising the overall build.
Do I have to buy every component through Hectic Sim Rigs?
If you already own suitable sim racing hardware, talk to us about incorporating it into your new setup. We can assess compatibility and recommend what should be retained, upgraded or replaced.
How do I pay for my simulator?
Once you’ve approved your build plan and quote, we’ll provide secure payment options for your deposit. Payments can be made by card through our secure online payment provider or by bank transfer. The remaining balance is finalised before delivery and installation.
Do I need to pay the full amount upfront?
Not usually. For custom turn-key builds, an initial deposit is generally required so we can secure and order your components. The remaining balance is payable once your simulator has been completed and is ready for delivery or installation.
